HipHopCanada.com Spearheads Saving Lives
Through OneMatch

In honour of OneMatch's first annual National Stem Cell and Marrow Awareness Week, November 3rd to November 10th, HipHopCanada has partnered with Canadian Blood Services' OneMatch Stem Cell and Marrow Network, to show their support for this important cause. Together with Canadian Blood Services, HipHopCanada will be co-hosting two events with some of the biggest names in the Canadian hip-hop music industry coming out to support the OneMatch movement. Join us at the OneMatch launch parties in Vancouver on November 3rd and in Toronto on November 7th.

Currently there is a critical shortage of both ethnic Canadians and young people on the OneMatch Stem Cell and Marrow Network. In response to the need for stem cell donors, we are entering into unique partnerships with youth-oriented organizations like HipHopCanada.com, and the New Flow FM, a leading urban music station in Toronto. With our goal of raising the awareness of OneMatch among young people in Canada, collaborations like these help us reach and recruit young people to this important cause.

In keeping with hip-hop culture, the events will feature an array of artists and DJs in support of OneMatch as well as graffiti artists and breakdancers. Also on hand, donors, recipients, medical experts and leading members of Vancouver's and Toronto's ethnic communities will share their inspirational stories, demonstrating first-hand the impact OneMatch has in matching donors and recipients and ultimately saving more lives.

We encourage you to come out to the events if you are in Vancouver and Toronto (dates below) and show your support for OneMatch. For more event information, please visit www.hiphopcanada.com.
